• Local Crime Branch plays very important role in controlling and handling the criminals and crime in the district. Branch maintains the information like fingerprints, Jail Release, Missing persons, Narcotics, Essential commodities etc.
• Local Crime Branch also maintains the information related to Wanted/Absconding accused/criminals, Unidentified dead bodies, crimes on the highways as well as maintains data concerned with Atrocities Act, Human rights & tiger cell.

• District Special Branch deals with maintaining Law and Order situation in the district and collects Intelligence through sources within jurisdiction. Also maintains confidential records of each and every political party and political leader in the jurisdiction.
• District Special Branch deals with collection, collation, analysis and dissemination of information on such as Political, Security, Communal disharmony, Labour activity, Security concerns & matters affecting - L & O.
• Provide Character certificate, PCC-Police Clearance Certificate, Passport verification and other No-Objection certificate under various heads.

Economic offence wing investigates and combats economic and financial crimes, including fraud, embezzlement, money laundering with a focus on white-collar crimes.

• Investigation of Complex Crimes : The EOW investigates complicated cases of cheating, fraud, and financial crimes, including those in banking, medical, and job rackets.
• White-Collar Crime : They focus on white-collar crimes, which include fraud, embezzlement, money laundering, cybercrimes, forgery, and other economic offenses that affect individuals, businesses and government entities.

• Civilian Portal - In this, private individuals file complaints against drivers who violate traffic rules on the road. After verifying the complaint, challans are issued against the said drivers under the Motor Vehicles Act.
• E-Challan Grievance Report - In this, drivers register online complaints about wrong challans or complaints on their vehicles through the Mahatraffic app. Their complaints are resolved.

• Police Training Branch focuses on training of officers and men with objectives to advising on police management and sensitizing them to emerging challenges. The expectations are high. Unfortunately, very little attention is given to physical and mental training of the police personnel.
• It is necessary that, they should be trained enough to become sensitive to the demands of the common man and the system of responding. There is also a need for ethical decision-making, which will inspire the coming generation of police officers and men.

Conviction Cell focuses on tracking and reporting convictions of individuals, particularly those in public office, to ensure accountability and uphold the law.

• The Conviction Cell's primary function is to monitor and document convictions, especially those of sitting MPs, MLAs, and MLCs, to ensure compliance with legal requirements and maintain public trust.

The Reader Branch, also known as the "Reader Section," primarily focuses on administrative duties and assisting officers in their day to day crime work. Below mentioned are key functioning of Reader Branch.

• Maintaining statistics for each and every crime registered in the district.
• Assisting in the disposal of crime/criminal cases.
• Handling whole administrative tasks and provide the information in time related to Star/Un-Star question raised during Assembly and parliamentary sessions.
• Maintaining crime statistics, records and documentation.
• Preparing reports and correspondence related crime.

• This is a specially created cell especially to look into the grievances of women and cases of domestic violence. Women social workers and members of Non Governmental Organization have been taken on the panel. They hear the cases of victims and other family members and try to bring about settlement between them by counselling. The cases not settled are sent to Police Station for legal action.
• Addresses women's grievances and domestic violence cases through counseling, legal action, and collaboration with social workers and NGOs.
• Hearing of the cases and counselling of victims as well as other family members is generally done to settle the issues. Legal action through various provisions of law is also taken in the cases which are not settled. Free Helpline with number 1091 is provided for emergency help of women.

• In today's time, women are contributing in every field. Whether at home or outside, women do their work properly, but due to some reasons faces many problems. A woman faces all the troubles like domestic violence, gender discrimination, women's harassment, etc. But if women are aware of their legal rights, then they can raise their voices against any harassment before they suffer. At present, for the prevention of domestic violence, the Bharosa cell has been formed, through which the cases related to domestic violence are solved at a fast pace.
• W.E.C.A.R.E. (Women Effulgence Center for Aid and Empowerment), through 'Bharosa Cell' and 'Damini Pathak', all kinds of help and facilities are being provided to the victimized women and children in one place. Through this, medical services, psychiatrists, counseling, legal experts, protection officers, and rehabilitation services are being provided immediately to women and children in distress to solve their problems. The women and children who are the target of violence gets the psychological strength to fight against the oppression due to the support of the Bharosa Cell.

The Police Welfare Branch aims to improve the social, financial, and mental well-being of Police Officers/Men and their families through various welfare schemes, including health camps, training programs, and awareness initiatives.

• Welfare Schemes : The branch implements numerous welfare schemes, including health camps, blood donation drives, yoga training, and free distribution of books.
• Health Care : Branch focus on providing healthcare, particularly for chronic and serious ailments, including post-retirement health care for police personnel and their dependents.
• Maharashtra Family Health Scheme : This scheme provides free healthcare for police officers, their wives, parents, and two children.
• Training and Awareness Programs : They conduct training programs and awareness programs for police officers and their families on various topics.
• Financial Aid : The Maharashtra Police Welfare Fund provides financial aid and other facilities to improve the living conditions of police families.

• This outfit was created by Government of Maharashtra to counter the menace of terrorism. It aims at collecting and collating information related to anti-national elements working in the jurisdiction.
• It works in co-ordination with Central Agencies, like IB, RAW. ATS also keeps in touch with similar agencies of other States.
• It aims at tracking and neutralizing activities of terror-groups , mafia and other organized crime syndicates, and detecting rackets of counterfeit currency notes and smuggling of narcotic substances.

Anti Bangladeshi National Cell focuses on identifying and acting against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, conducting raids and investigations and arresting individuals for illegal entry and residence, often using forged documents.

• Arrests and Investigations : The Anti Bangladeshi National Cell arrest individuals for illegal entry and resident, often finding them using forged documents like Aadhaar cards and other identification papers.
• Legal Action : Arrested individuals are booked under the Foreigners Act and other relevant legal provisions.

A dog squad is available at Raigad District Police Establishment and all control over the said squads is vested in the Hon. Superintendent of Police Raigad and under his authority the administrative control is vested in the Superintendent of Police Home Raigad.
